Cermet (steel-bonded cemented carbide) is a composite material produced by powder metallurgy sintering and forging with steel as the binder phase and carbide (mainly titanium carbide and tungsten carbide) as the hard phase.
It has the following characteristics: good process performance, machinability and heat treatability. In the annealed state, ordinary cutting equipment and tools can be used to carry out mechanical processing such as turning, milling, planing, grinding, and drilling. It can also be forged and welded.
Compared with cemented carbide, it has lower cost and wider application range. Good physical and mechanical properties. Steel-bonded cemented carbide has high hardness in the hardened state. Because it contains a large amount of dispersed high-hardness hard phase, its wear resistance can be close to that of high-cobalt cemented carbide.
Compared with high-alloy die steel, it has higher elastic modulus, wear resistance, compressive strength and bending strength.
Compared with cemented carbide, it has better toughness. It has good self-lubrication, low friction coefficient and excellent chemical stability.
We have grade GT35, TM52 and WSG53 Titanium Carbide Rods available, this is a new type of composite material prepared by powder metallurgy method with high manganese steel as the bonding phase and refractory metal carbide - titanium carbide as the hard phase. Its performance characteristics are as follows:
1. Good weldability and castability. The steel bonded alloy matrix is a type of high manganese steel, which exists as a single austenite phase at room temperature and has high strength, which is beneficial for improving the resistance to thermal stress during casting. It can be welded with ordinary high manganese steel electrodes or connected to the substrate through casting, which is simple to operate and easy to produce, and can reduce manufacturing costs and shorten production cycles.
2. High hardness and wear resistance. A large amount of refractory metal carbides (titanium carbide) are dispersed in steel bonded alloys, which have high hardness; At the same time, the matrix is high manganese steel with work hardening characteristics, which greatly improves the wear resistance of the product.
3. Excellent cost-effectiveness. Compared with tungsten cobalt hard alloy, steel bonded alloy has a low density (about 6.0g/cm3, which is 40% of tungsten cobalt hard alloy) and has a good cost-effectiveness advantage.

Customized Guide rollers' size varies according to the different wire rods. The main dimensions and structures are: outer diameter and thickness, groove type and bearing hole | GT35 | Guide wheel (also known as guide wheel and guide wheel) is an indispensable part of wire rod in the rolling process of steel rolling plant. It requires high hardness, good wear resistance (matching the service life with high-quality bearings), good thermal conductivity, and a certain degree of red hardness, especially for high-speed wire rolling (the rolling speed is 80-120m/s). |
Titanium Carbide Rod
The titanium carbide cermet rod (TiC rod) belongs to the steel-bonded cemented carbide, which is a kind of compound material based on the steel as the binder phase and used the refractory metal carbide (mainly the titanium carbide and the tungsten carbide) as the hard phase. The TiC rod is the high-hardness and high-strength titanium-based alloy composite material, known for their extreme hardness, high melting point, and excellent wear resistance. These rods can be used in various industrial applications, particularly where high durability and resistance to wear are required, such as for crushing hammer, etc.
Titanium Carbide Guide Roller / Titanium Carbide Guide Wheel
Titanium Carbide guide rollers play an important role in precision machining, wire making and automation industries due to their high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and impact resistance.
In the wire manufacturing industry, carbide rollers are used for drawing steel wire, copper wire and stainless steel wire; for high-speed wire rolling production lines; for high-temperature wire conveying. In CNC(Computer Numerical Control)machine tools and precision machining industries, Titanium carbide rollers are used in wire cutting machines to ensure the good performance of molybdenum wires; for grinders to process bearings and gears with high precision; and for the transmission system of optical fiber or CO2 laser equipment to ensure the stability of processing.
